Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CVPoet ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this Service.

Description of Service

CVPoet is a web-based resume and CV builder. The Service lets you create, customize, edit, export, and optionally publish professional resumes to a public link at cvpoet.com/@you. Free and paid tiers are available; the core resume builder and PDF export are free with no watermark.

User Accounts and Authentication

To access certain features of our Service, you may be required to create an account. We support authentication through Google OAuth 2.0, Apple OAuth 2.0, and email magic-link sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Payment Terms

Our Service offers both free and paid subscription plans. Payment is processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen subscription plan, provide accurate billing information, authorize automatic recurring charges for subscription renewal, and comply with Stripe's terms of service. Subscription fees are billed in advance.

Renewal, Cancellation and Refunds

Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page in your account. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for; after that your account returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted on downgrade: you keep every resume and draft, and only the first published resume stays public.

Refunds. If you subscribe to a yearly plan and change your mind, contact us within 30 days of the first yearly charge for a full refund. Monthly charges are not refunded once the period has started, except where the law requires it or, at our discretion, in exceptional circumstances. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Failed payments. If a renewal charge fails, we retry it and email you. If it still cannot be collected, your account returns to the Free plan and your data is kept.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for genuine resume content about yourself or a person you legally represent. You agree NOT to use the Service to: impersonate another person without authorization; publish content that is defamatory, harassing, or unlawful; include malicious links, spam, or phishing; attempt unauthorized access to our systems; scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service; or use the Service to spam recruiters or hiring managers.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality remain the exclusive property of CVPoet and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You retain ownership of content you create using our service, including resumes and associated data. However, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this content as necessary to provide the Service.

Data Collection and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. When authenticating using Google or Apple OAuth, we may receive certain profile information as permitted by your privacy settings with those providers.

Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVPoet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CVPoet operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
